Mercedes Concept-A Video
We had the first proper details on the Mercedes Concept-A earlier this week, which points the way – as a slightly tamed-down version – to the 2012 Mercedes A-Class. That Mercedes A Class will not just arrive as a hatch but will – in cojunction with the new Mercedes B-Class that will also utilise Mercedes new MFA platform – spawn models as diverse as a shooting brake, crossover, coupe and cabriolet. It seems – with all the derivatives that appear to be planned – that Mercedes are looking to out-MINI MINI in the variations on a theme game.

Jaguar delivered one of the surprises of the 2010 Paris motor show with the new C-X75 supercar concept car. The C-X75 is designed to showcase Jag’s new design direction now that the modern Ian Callum-led look has been rolled out across the Jag XF, XJ and XK sports cars.But the new Jaguar C-X75 (‘C’ for concept, ‘X’ for experimental, ’75’ to mark the brand’s 75th anniversary) is also a technological statement. Jag has spotted the kudos granted to Porsche for stealing the Geneva 2010 show with the 918 Spyder – and realises that its graceful, paceful cars require a green balance.

Bentley has introduced the Mulsanne Executive Interiors with Theatre and iPad Multimedia packages on offer. Following close on the heels of the Bentley Bentley Mulsanne Mulliner Driving Specification last week – which offered a sporty option for the latest Mulsanne – we now get the Bentley Mulsanne Executive Interior for Bentley owners who want to turn the back of their car in to a business and multimedia centre. Bentley are keen to point out that they don’t just get a crate of iPads and glue them in to the Mulsanne, but take great care to integrate the iPads and multimedia fully in to the interior of the Mulsanne, a task that takes 170 hours.
